MID LIFE CRISIS
sometimes there's an ache
from somewhere deep within
a yearning to be more
than what we currently are
a wanting for something
to break the bonds we've
grown accustom to
in the lives we've made for ourselves
where did it go? - the youth we
should have cherished -
squandered
full of bad choices and long lost friends
and as adults, do we all stumble?
falter from perfect lives
ones we carved into this world
in the false search for more
than we have become?
